Thank you.I was looking at it ,for many years wοndering how to fold it :)
Hi friend, / roof box , I just got roofrack from your Com.,roof box ,.for my Vauxhall Meriva, B 2011 , ,I get it today 🙂I'm ment to get it on Monday so thanks very,. I am dyslexic so I'm not good at reading, I've looking now for about 5 hours now, It would be so great of you's if you's can make video of you's doing one of my make and model of roof and clamps / foot I'm hoping to do it so if it's not raining, it's Scotland I'm from 😢 Lol 😂😅😂 Kind regards James fae Scotland🏴, Part of the UK 🇬🇧
So the front and rear tiedowns just rub up against the bumper paint, headlight, hood etc?
garbage
Yes, but in Scandinavia I think most pillars are "extended" as standard (We are normally rather tall people), at least mine is, and I wasn't asked if I wanted one (ext), so I tried desperately to put my bike in my new B&W box! I then had to remove my saddle and take the pillar out from below, to be able to do it, so today I have bought an extra "Telescope Post", and a new (Extra, as my bike is a "Lightweight", which I think has a titanium post as standard?) titanium post for it, to be removed from the top and with an integrated ring on top for the saddle adjustment, without the weight of an original and rather complicated Brompton saddle clamp. A Chinese "Aceoffix" clamp is a little lighter and smarter I think, for my TP.
what size of the dowel and screw?
I guess it strongly depends on the material of your ceiling. That's why for example THULE does not provide even screws. They just note in the manual that you should use expert in order to fix the mechanism.
Where can I get one?
Does anyone know where i can buy this item in Australia? Thanks
Obrigado.

Thanks for the video. Can I ask something? On your website it is stated that the minimum distance between bars is 62,5cm = 625mm. However on Hapro's own website it is stated that the minimum distance between bars is only 550mm = 55cm. Can you clarify which one is correct please, 625mm or 550mm? Thank you!
Thanks for commenting! 550mm is the correct measurement. We have now amended this on our site.
pls i need to know the speed limit when using this bike rack...it doesnt indicate on ur resellers and they doesnt know what...
In the instruction manual for the Colibri, Buzz Rack state "The load of rack and bicycles will affect driving. Do not exceed the speed limit, and do not drive faster than 120 km/h (75 mph)".
@@roofboxcompany ty very much good sir...
is this better than colibri if im only using it for 1 bike?
Thanks for commenting. It all depends on what you need the bike rack to do for you.The Colibri is slightly cheaper but the advantage of the mozzquito is that, if in the future you want to carry more than one bike, you can.
lovely stuff
Saw photos on amazon of Thule plastic frame and wheel clamps melting from hot exhaust gases, does this design have any problems in this regard and does exhaust stain frame and bikes
Thanks for commenting. We have never experienced any issues with exhaust fumes.
Do you completely remove the rubber strip out of the track and not put it back?
It depends on which roof bars you have. This video shows the older style Thule wing bars, which are supplied with rubber strips that you can cut to fit. The new Thule wing bar Evo and Yakima roof bars are supplied with rubber inserts that don't have to be removed when using T-track adapters.
The Roof Box Company it’s BMW’s own roofbar, looks like the rubber strip could be pushed down far enough to fit in the adapter without removing it. But would I better off just taking the rubber out?
We couldn't say for sure without seeing an image of your roof bars. The best thing to do would be to email us a picture and one of our team can give you a definitive answer. info@roofbox.co.uk
The high standards of the design, materials, size and it's twin wall construction make it ideal for the basis of a single person roof top tent conversion! Likewise the Packline FX Off Road model! Decisions, decisions...
We would never recommend altering or converting any of the roof boxes we sell. But, if you are after a high quality roof top tent, check out the Yakima SkyRise.
This video was fantastic. It all went on great. Can't use the sun roof but worth it to get more luggage space for our trip
Glad to hear this video helped. Hope you had a great trip!
works w/ cross country skis?
There shouldn't be any reason for cross country skis not to fit, but it is worth checking the measurements provided on the Buzz Ski specifications - www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php?BRASC
Hello ... will it be necessary to remove rotors from disc brake wheel? thank you.
Hello! there is no need to remove the rotors from your disc brake wheels as it shouldn't make any difference to the fitting process.
@@roofboxcompany thanks your reply. I ask as the wheel (inside wheel bag) sits loosely inside the box, it may be susceptible to rotor bending in transit. Other box manufacturers secures the wheel inside the box preventing contact with the frame or any hard object that would accidentally bend the rotor. Will the Bike Box ii resist compression if heavy luggage is stacked on top once in airplane?
The bike bag has layers of protective foam inside which not only protect the wheels and the frame but also secures the wheel bag once the bike box is assembled. The bike box ll is robust and we have never had a single bike damaged inside any B&W case. Check out Ben Moore (professional downhill racer) over on instagram as he uses B&W cases to transport his bikes all around the world.
Unfortunately the Easyfold XT does not fit most Ebikes - the wheel straps are too short and the mounting arms are not long enough. Its a shame because its a nice idea - just not properly designed.
Hello, and thanks for commenting. There are longer wheel straps available separately that will take wheels up 4.7" which will cover most bikes. The bike frame arms can also be attached to the seat post and down tube as well as the cross bar. If you still struggle attaching the mounting arms, a good option would be to check out a bike rack with an adjustable upright like the BUZZRACK E-Scorpion (which is available in a 1 and 2 bike version) - www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php?BRP612
Thank you so much for this. Your instructions were easy to follow and saved us a whole lot of stress.
Thanks myself also, pictogram instructions I'm like wtf, send these things back! I pulled the adjusting screw right out, and can't ge the thread to take again, FML...
Many thanks for this video! As many have stated, the instruction manual is absolute garbage.
Nice video.. just wish someone one do one using round bars... I'm getting the Rocky Road Crossbars because of better weight rating!
Despite a degree in Engineering and a Masters of Ikeaness, I would have had no chance fitting these bars without this video. Luckily I have bought from The Roof Box Company before, so I came straight here, well, after 10 minutes laughing at the written instructions provided first.
Ditto, who did the instruction in the kit is "special"
Great instructions , thank you
Thanks for commenting and we are glad to hear this video has helped!
i just got a opel astra j 140 hp will it fir on my car i saw 1 that i wanna buy but affraid it wont fit
Hello! thanks for commenting. The easiest thing to do is head over to our website www.roofbox.co.uk and put your car make, model and year into our vehicle selector and we will list all the available fit options.
I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out what the instructions actually wanted me to do. Thank you - you are a life saver. Maybe you could suggest to the company who manufactures these roof parts that they refer customers to your instruction video. Mine is a Prorack K328 but I realize the brand name means nothing, just the model number. OK so me and my laptop are now headed outside to get the job done.
Thank you thank you thank you! Instructions are rediculuous!!
No probs! Glad to hear this video has helped you out.
How do you unfasten the bike when you get to your destination?
Hello! All you need to do when you get to your destination, is release the ratchet straps and anti sway strap. To do this, simply push the tab in towards the strap, which releases the ratchet, then just pull the strap to loosen and release.
What a about a sedan, is it posible to mount this on a car like this?
Hello! Thank you for commenting. Rear mounted bike carriers are car specific so your best bet is to use the vehicle selector on our homepage and if your vehicle is compatible with a rear mounted rack, we will list the options available - www.roofbox.co.uk . if not, you would need to consider a roof mounted or tow ball mounted option.
what axle standards does it support?
Thanks for commenting. The Bike bag is supplied with adapters to fit 12,15 and 20mm Thru axles and the ASF can accommodate most drop axles.
This really doesn’t illustrate the struggle of trying to get the gas hinges on. Or getting the box hooked on - we got told this was a one person assembly and it REALLY isn’t if you are female.
Thanks for commenting. We are sorry to hear you have been struggling with the 350 and that you haven’t found this video helpful. This video was made back in 2013 and is due an update so we have added your points to our list and will do our best to highlight the issues you have raised. Assembling and fitting this box is possible by one person (regardless of gender) but as with all our roof box’s, if you are struggling, we would always advise drafting in a 2nd person to help out.
I bought this bike rack for my smax car. However the bike rack is slightly rubbing when I open my boot, with paint getting damaged. It is the plastic piece (the tilt function) at the front of the buffalo where the boot door rubs in opening. Given that a lot of towbars could be hitting walls etc be careful with the distance between the towball and car. It is also an inconvenience having to screw/unscrew the bolt securing the tilt function. Otherwise it looks a good piece of kit.
Thanks for commenting! We are sorry to hear this rack is slightly rubbing when you open your boot. Buzzrack do say that a 65mm clearance is required from the centre of the tow ball to the rear of your vehicle, which is highlighted on our product page. Have you checked your tow ball distance? If not, we would be interested to know what it is.
@@roofboxcompany Hi. Thanks for reply. I got this sorted. I took my car to a mechanic who adjusted the towball and now it is opening fine. Very happy with the purchase. I leave the rack on full time.
The roof bar system may be superb, but the instructions may rate as the worst I have ever seen. Thanks for the video.
Hi and thanks for commenting! Glad to hear this video helped you out!

Is there a way to lock the bikes using rope bike locks or any u-shaped locks?
Hello and thanks for commenting! There is no problems with using your own cable lock or D-loop to lock the bike to the rack. A cable lock would attach in a similar way to the provided strap.
where to buy here in UAE?
Hello and thanks for commenting. Your best bet is to check the distributors locator section on www.buzzrack.com
Great! Thank you! I don't know how to install it with Yakima instructions))
It looks like regular winter tires could handle those situations. But I guess when your country don't mandate wintertires then you need autosock.
The Brompton in your video does not have a rear rack. Will the bike c/w rear rack still fit this case?
Hello! Yes, this case holds any model of Brompton snugly and securely, including Brompton's with the rear rack fitted. Check out this link www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php?BH96006 for more more details.
Awesome bike carrier would recommend
I have a couple of questions. (#1) I have a Brompton M6L with Ergon handlebar grips. I'm wondering if the Ergon grips should be removed for the bike to find in the case. (#2) The video mentions removing clamps. What clamps are those?
Hello and thanks for commenting! The Ergon grips shouldn't make any difference when loading into the case and the clamps they are referring to in this video are the hinge clamps on the Brompton.
Thanks for the video! Just what info I was looking for.
This video is a lifesaver, cheers team! Wondering if anyone else had a few leftover bits and pieces from the k328 mounting kit?
Hi, is this rack suitable for MTB E-bikes? Thank you.
It is possible to carry 2 light e-bikes up to a maximum of 23.5 kg per wheel rail, but please note that the permissible total load for THE DL 2 is 47 kg and 45 kg for the DL 3. If your E-MTB’s are heavier, then take a look at the Atera STRADA E-bike and Atera Strada E-bike ML. www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php?AR2696 - E-bike ML www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php?AR2686 - E-bike
